The Dress

This was the first dress I tried on and I knew it was the one from the very start. I had started following the dress designer Milla Nova on Pinterest and fell in love with this style of dress. After finding it at a boutique bridal salon in Chicago, I was hoping it would be as beautiful as it was in pictures. Thankfully it was! The ivory color undertone is striking and you can see the gorgeous lace design throughout the dress. My favorite part about the dress is probably the dramatic sheer low back. It gives a stunning effect and I absolutely love the way my photos turned out from that angle. I had the dress taken in slightly right before my big day (lost some weight) so it fit me like a glove but was still easy to move around in for sitting and dancing. There is a French bustle so you can get some dancefloor action after all your photos - I had no problems twirling and moving around during my first dance. Overall, the dress made me feel beautiful that day. It brought family and friends to happy tears seeing me in it and I received several compliments from guests.
