The Dress

Beautiful, one-of-a-kind silk wedding dress with ivory lace top. May need alterations.

A classic but contemporary wedding dress for a size 8 (UK) bride. The top, worn over the dress, features floral corded lace with fine scalloped edging and beautiful satin buttons.

Please note that a dressmaker has taken-up the sheer outer silk layer on the skirt due as it was slightly damaged. This means that the outer skirt layer currently sits higher than the silk layer underneath (see images).

As such, you might want to make some alterations to shorten the under layer so that both skirt layers are uniform length.

Given that the dress is floor-length and was designed for a 5 ft 7” bride wearing high heels, there’s definitely scope to shorten the skirt if desired.
