The Dress

***Price reduction as I need to make space in my closet*** I never wanted to take this dress off! It truly felt magical. The Raciela from the Atelier Pronovias 2018 Collection is everything you can dream of: classic but modern, romantic but without being too fussy, and with a long train that adds to the drama. A mermaid gown in beautiful crepe Isabelle. The colour is off white, but almost white. The neckline is strapless with off-the-shoulder soft cap sleeves to create an elegant open neckline and give an added air of romance (and provided a bit more coverage for the arms). The sleeves are easily detachable so you could wear the dress without these if preferred – or remove them half way / for the evening reception and it would be almost like having two different dresses! It is has a built in corset for the bodice, providing more structure and a streamline look. I had bra cups stitched into the dress so that I didn’t have to wear underwear. Beautiful button detail down the back (but with a hidden zip so you don’t have to do up all the buttons!) and a gorgeous train that I couldn’t get enough of. I also had a bustle added so that the train could be hooked up for dancing.

There are a few light marks at the ends of the skirt and another slightly darker one higher up the back of the dress which weren't visible in photos but are slightly noticeable in real life . My dry cleaner thinks would probably come out with another round of dry cleaning. I’d be happy to share more photos of the marks / arrange a FaceTime or in-person viewing to ensure you that these aren’t significant. The dress has been professionally cleaned and is in a garment bag. Kept in smoke and pet free house since cleaning.

Alterations

I had the dress shortened a bit and taken in slightly around the waist and bust. I also had bra cups stitched into the dress and a small eye hook added for a bustle on the back so that the train could be hooked up (see photo). Measurements are chest 35”, waist 30”, hips 39.5”, and I’m 5.3” and wearing 2” heels my dress skimmed the ground.
