The Dress

Kloof features classic Laudae design elements (like secret support mesh in the body), as well as firsts for the designer. It is their first high-neck dress, paired with a low back and thin straps for balance. The top is made from beautiful ribbed crepe, whilst the dress also has a built in ribbon belt and a peekaboo lace skirt. It is a modern fitting wedding dress, ethically handmade by Laudae in Vancouver, Canada.

The dress was made to measure a size 8, and only adjusted for height (I'm about 5ft4 and wore 3 inch wedding shoes). Cups have also been tailored into the bodice and a bustle and lace arm strap added for dancing in the evening. The dress is beautiful and incredibly comfortable to wear, largely due to the support mesh in the skirt which makes it easy to move in and allows you to not wear any underwear without a concern of it showing through or affecting the silhouette. I wore the dress for my wedding in the high summer in Italy, and found it very breathable and cool, particularly due to it being backless. Although I'm not usually one to dress up, I honestly really loved wearing this dress!

Alterations

The dress has only been altered from the usual size 8 to adjust for height as described, as well as to add in cups to the bodice. A bustle and lace arm strap has also been added to allow for ease of dancing later on in the event.
