The Dress

This LACE CROP TOP and high-waist MIDI SKIRT wedding dress set is perfect...the skirt even has POCKETS! This two-piece ensemble is easily alterable to work with many shapes and sizes! It was shipped from an Australian designer so duties and taxes were very high. However, I took the risk and placed the order! I wear US size 8-10 (Aud 10-12). It was the first dress I ordered and I have no regrets! The site still sells this dress but has recently downgraded the price and quality of the product. The new online version is not the same quality as this set. The skirt sits high on the waist and billows out, so waist size matters but hip size does not. The alterations (see "alterations" section) give it a more NATURAL BOHEMIAM LOOK than the off-the-rack version. Both garments have been DRY-CLEANED and will be shipped in the garment bag provided by the designer. This is a no fuss dress-comfortable (when I put it on I felt like I was in a silky slip), carefree (easy to dance and move in), no pressing or steaming was required (non-wrinkling fabric). I felt amazing the whole day. I wore multiple shoes throughout the day with this crop top and skirt-Blundstones for our hike into the forest, heels for photos and the reception, and flats for dancing. The skirt works with a variety of shoe heights as it is shorter in the front and longer in the back. I wore it in October 2019 with a mink fur shawl. Stunning! ALTERATIONS INCLUDE: removal of the top's back zipper and the addition of pearly buttons (see photo), cropping the top a bit higher, hiding the skirt's back zipper so it is no longer exposed, and alterations to fit my shape. My seamstress said the skirt has a lot of room to work with to either take it out (make it bigger) or take it in. The retail price includes alterations and duty/taxes. The alterations give it a more NATURAL BOHEMIAM LOOK than the off-the-rack version.

Alterations

ALTERATIONS INCLUDE: removal of the top's back zipper and the addition of pearly buttons (see photo), cropping the top so more midriff shows, hiding the skirt's back zipper so it is no longer exposed, and alterations to fit my shape.
