The Dress
A Bespoke dress made by the very talented London based designer Bunmi Olaye.
This was my second dress for the evening reception.
Working closely with Bunmi, I had chosen to keep the design structured and fitted on the bodice (made of satin) and then fluid and flare on the skirt - still emphasising though the hips curves.
She hand sewn some appliqué of lace on top of the skirt and waist line to give a more embellished finished.
We liked to keep a "raw hem" to enhance the pattern of the lace and to maintain the fluidity of the skirt. However, for those who prefer a more defined hem, this can be easily amended.
After dry cleaning, the dress came back perfectly cleaned, without a single stain.
