The Dress
My wedding dress was made by the talented Helen from Blanche Bridal couture. Although I loved my dress and it was exactly what I had envisioned for our special day, it would be such a shame for the dress to never be worn again. I would love for another bride to have the opportunity to treasure the dress as much as I did!
The ivory, mermaid/ trumpet style gown features hand beaded embellishment from the top of the bodice to mid thigh, transitioning into a soft tulle train. The train is made up of multiple layers of satin and tulle with lace details on the top layer of the train to match the lace on the bodice. The bodice was also customised to include horsehair lace. The back of the dress is secured with an invisible zipper which is covered with satin buttons.
The dress fitted perfectly and accentuated all my curves while holding in my body tightly with its inbuilt corset. The bodice featured padded so a bra wasn't needed and gave me extra support. The dress has been dry cleaned immediately after the wedding. Although the dress is in great condition, there are a few slight tears from hours of dancing! The tears are only minor and on the top layer of the tulle and a little part of the horsehair lace on the bodice. These can be easily fixed.
