The Dress

This is truly the most beautiful gown, and my wedding guests still talk about it months later! I was extremely concerned about finding a gown of high-quality fabric that looks as good in-person as in photos. The delicate, intricate flower design is so unique, hand-crafted, looks almost like tiny origami. The dress is slimming without flattening the bust, and dramatic without being garish. It’s the perfect mix of subtly and boldness. It really made me feel like a princess to wear an Oscar de la Renta wedding gown!

Alterations

Bridal size 8. I am street size 2 to 4. It fit me very naturally with only minor alterations.  

Alterations were done by the renowned French bridal studio in Los Angeles “A Stitch in Time.” I am 5’4” and wore 1-inch heels.

Please note: there was some tearing in the bottom back of the chiffon overlay when I purchased this dress, and the tailor used fine thread to repair the tear. After my wedding, she repaired a few small tears in the chiffon overlay the same way. None of this is visible in my opinion from standing height. You can see a photo of the largest stitching repair, I included it in the photos here.
