The Dress

The Gia dress is part of Galia Lahav's haute couture collection and is made-to-order according to my measurements, not ordered by a size chart. It is a perfect sheer strapless corset dress, with a silk tulle skirt adorned by beaded and crystal encrusted dramatic appliques. This dress is romantic, sexy, etherial, and made me feel like the ultimate princess bride without having to be in cliche ballgown. It is super flattering on and just sparkles from every angle! I only wore the dress for pictures before the wedding and the ceremony and changed into a satin gown for the reception, although if I were to do it again I would have stayed in the Gia all night long because it was so much more comfortable and completely weightless! The Gia comes in a blush/nude color which is the sample they had in the store and it was too dark in my opinion (almost grayish), I wanted to look like a true bride, so I ordered it in ivory; however, it is a stunning warm ivory and not "white".

I had a religious ceremony so I had a custom made Galia Lahav bodysuit with the same applique made to cover my shoulders, cleavage, and back that looks like it is part of the dress when worn together. And I also have the matching 10ft silk tulle veil with a blusher for an additional cost.

Alterations

I had over $2000 in alterations done to the dress and they were all sooo worth it!
- I added removable off the shoulder sleeves that I think add so much to the strapless dress but if you don't want them they snap right off.
- The dress comes completely SEE THROUGH so I added a liner in the skirt and it also protected the dress from getting snagged onto my incrusted shoes!
- Size D cups were added to support my breast but can be removed easily
- We added more flowers onto the corset so that you don't see "side boob" and made it more appropriate.
- The Dress comes with a zipper, but with a brides fluctuating weight we added a corset back. It is very important for this dress to be worn TIGHT since it is a corset and your breast need the support, so the corset was so needed! You never know when you'll suddenly get bloated and need an extra .5in. I also have an extra ribbon incase one rips.
- We added a small elastic strap at the waist to suck you in a little more and give more support on the inside.
