The Dress

This stunning ivory silk mikado dress is timeless and photographs so beautifully. The simplicity and elegance of the gown shines on its own, but it is also perfect for adding accessories to showcase your own personal style.

The dress was very comfortable to wear throughout the day and night, and the silk mikado fabric felt luxurious against my skin. My favorite part of the dress were the buttons all the way down the back of the long train. The pockets were also a plus - perfect for holding your phone or lipstick!

I felt so beautiful in this dress and got so many compliments on my wedding day, and would love for someone else to enjoy it as much as I did!

The dress has been dry cleaned and is in pristine condition.

From the designer: Made of matte mikado fabric, the ballgown silhouette features a modern empire waist and open, square back. A small pleat in the skirt allows the ballgown skirt to keep its shape beautifully. Fabric covered buttons run down the length of the train and pockets have been added for one final modern touch.

Alterations

The dress was hemmed to a total wearable height of 5'8" - I am 5'5" and wore 3" heels. The waist was let out slightly to a 24" waist size. Soft bra cups were added, but are easily removable. An over bustle was created in the back (1 hook and 3 loops) to hook up the long train.
