The Dress

Lace, tulle and satin fabric mermaid dress with illusion neckline and sewn-in cups to add a little extra shape. Beautiful beading throughout the lace adds subtle sparkle, and the laced bodice blends into the skin creating a tattoo effect. The back is a deep V, edged in lace, and is fitted to the waist with a discreet belt, leading to a flattering skirt and train.

The belted waist and deep-V back is so flattering and slimming. One of my favorite things was that I could eat and it didn’t show in the stomach area. The high neckline with tattoo effect lace makes it super unique - beautiful for indoor or outdoor venues. Because of the straps I was able to dance all night comfortably, and I loved it bustled! Has been professionally cleaned, no stains, no snags and like new.

Alterations

The dress fit me perfectly lengthwise - I’m 5’8” and wore ~3” heels - so no alterations there. Probably could go +/- an inch without altering.

Alterations were to slim-down the size 6 to fit my waist and make the belted area snug. Also slimmed slightly below the bum to accentuate the mermaid shape as shown in the official Pronovias photos.
