The Dress

The Everly dress was absolutely perfect for our November 2019 beach wedding in Mexico! I ordered this dress from Grace Loves Lace and it was shipped to me from Australia after I tried it on in their Venice, CA showroom. It was such a hard decision to choose from all of their beautiful gowns, but I’m so glad I chose this one! The stretch lace is so comfortable and easy to move in, and it makes your butt look amazing :) I really liked that I was able to wear a strapless bra with the top. The dress has an elegant and timeless silhouette, but the two piece makes it a bit more fun. The dress is stretchy and the seams are quite simple, so this dress is very easy to alter if needed and works with different body types. I got so many compliments on this dress and it was such a joy to wear. I’d love to pass it on to another happy bride to wear on her special day.

It is a Grace Loves Lace ready-to-wear size XS. I spent $175 to have it professionally cleaned and pressed after our wedding, and it looks amazing. The only alteration I had was having a seamstress hem it at the seam near the knees to my height (I’m 5’5” and wore flats). I kept the beautiful little train.

Overall the dress is in fantastic shape, but I know this is a major purchase, so I want to be clear about a few small (fixable) flaws: On the front of the skirt, a few of the stitches on the seam around the knees have come loose. As you can see in the photos, this is where the skirt was hemmed, and it can easily be mended with a few stitches. If you are shorter than me and need the dress hemmed, this seam will be altered regardless. The same thing happened in one spot around the waistband at the elastic (shown in photo). It can also easily be fixed with a few stitches, but isn’t essential, as the elastic doesn’t show because it is tucked inside the dress. There are a few tiny holes in the lace in the back of the skirt closer to the knees. You couldn’t see them unless you were specifically looking for them, but they could also easily be mended if desired. I’ll also include my veil for free if you’d like it :) I have the GLL garment bag, hanger, and box that the dress came with. The dress was originally $1,060 plus $80 shipping so $1,140 altogether. Happy to ship at buyer’s expense.
