The Dress

Erin Clare's Sophie is an absolute stunning gown. As a plus size bride, I wanted something that would make me feel beautiful and comfortable so I could enjoy every minute of my wedding day and this dress did not disappoint (I still get compliments when I show people photos).

Sophie is A-lined gown with embroidered ivory tulle that looks like confetti with a nude lining to make it stand out. The shape is simple and classic which is perfect so it isn't too busy with the beautiful tulle. The Sophie has a small train so you still feel like a bride without the need for your bridesmaids to be always fixing your dress.

I am selling this beautiful gown as I unfortunately do not have the space in my home to keep it. It really deserves to be worn and enjoyed by another bride on their big day. I hope you love this dress as much as I did.

Alterations

Based on recommendations by the designer at the trunk show, the gown's lining has been made to be A-line to match the outer layers (perfect for a plus sized bride). When the dress was made, the designer also raised the waist by adding 3 buttons to the back and widening the straps of the v-back neckline.

The straps have been taken up slightly as well as the length and a bustle added for convenience.
