The Dress

I bought this dress at Browns Bride in Mayfair, London, and had it made to measure for my August 2019 wedding. I did not need any alterations other than the ones listed because the corset allows some give on the top should you lose weight closer to the wedding day, which was very comforting to know it could be adjusted. The cups are a D, but can easily be altered, also the top is the nude look, but white fabric could be layered underneath (like the skirt) to make it look super white all the way through. Alternatively the white layer in the skirt can be removed to have a continuous nude/sheer look all the way through. I am 5 foot 8, but wore 4 inch heels so the dress will fit anyone 6 foot 1 or under. The length of the dress from the top (chest area) to the floor is 135cm. It is lower than it needs to be because the volume creates the need for the length, but it can be easily shortened, and due to style, waist of skirt can easily be puled in, and panels can be removed at the back of the dress while keeping the flower details if the top needs to be reduced in size. Galia Lahav is an iconic Israeli designer. This exact gown was worn by the wife of the rapper, Chance, and the designer has been worn by Beyonce, Micheele Keagan, and many others this year. The pictures do not do this dress justice, it is incredibly sparkly. If you visit a Galia Lahav stockist you will see the wow factor that all the gowns bring.

Dress has been dry cleaned and is in perfect condition, bar a couple of small tears on the very inner layer of tulle (there are loads of layers!) which can be mended but absolutely won't be seen when wearing. They are at the very bottom so if shortening then will come off with length.

Alterations

I had invisible poppers inserted between the top and the skirt to be able to attach one to the other to keep it secure on the day which was really helpful - I just felt more comfortable knowing it was fixed together and I didn't have to grab at it. The skirt has an extra layer of white silk fabric to give it loess of a sheer look - this can be removed to be more like the nude picture (model wearing the dress) to show the structured lines underneath.
