The Dress

I always thought I'd go for an A-Line dress, but I was totally blown away by this dress when I stumbled across a photo of it online. The neckline, beaded bodice and back detail are just stunning (here's hoping the photos do it justice, but seeing it close-up is second-to-none) and the layered organza skirt had me feeling like a princess all day & night. I had compliments from every guest, and was told multiple times that the dress is "breathtaking" - Hence why I can't let this sit in my loft forever... Someone else should benefit from its beauty.

I paid £1200 plus alterations (£200), and it has been dry-cleaned to return it to great condition.

Alterations

Alterations from original designer's size 8 fit:
- A snugger fit given the waist (i.e. alteration to bodice)
- Cups added to enhance the bust
- Clasp on strap moved, to ensure straps sit correctly on the shoulder
- Length shortened slightly (front only) - I wore kitten heels on my wedding day, and I needed a few inches taken off the front to stop me stumbling. The train has been left as-is.. It's beautiful
