The Dress

This absolutely stunning Allure Bridal dress (size 10) from 'Lover the Label' was purchased at The Strand Arcade in the Flagship Lover store (April 2016, Sydney). It was from their sought-after White Magick Collection.

Its understated elegance fit perfectly with our small, minimalist wedding. I'm sadly parting with it but would love it to find a new home. I love the exquisite lace detail, the modern neckline and the bare back which made me feel so classic and elegant. The dress also accentuated my hourglass silhouette and was easy to move, hug and dance in!

For your knowledge, here are my measurements:
- I’m a standard size 6 on the top and 8 in the hip area.
- 32C in cup size
- I’m 5'8"

The dress is full length, a standard size 6 and my size 8 hips fit into it beautifully. It’s made with intricate French lace, a high neck and cap sleeves. It has a fitted bodice and a striking open, low back with a scalloped edge which is secured with a small invisible zip at the lower back & two small buttons at the neck.

Condition: Excellent, new new. Professionally dry cleaned. Worn once, a couple of tiny flecks of staining at the base of the inner lining. These are not visible with the lace overlay covering them completely. Original dust bag included.

Material: 90% lace and 10% cotton, with a 100% polyester, cream coloured lining. Dry clean only.

Alterations

- Slightly took in the back scalloped edges so that the lace lay flat against my skin.
- Hem taken up by ever so slightly to graze the floor and on the day I was wearing a 2 inch heel. Will be perfect for a 5'10" total height with heels.
- A pick-up was attached inside the skirt of the dress to make for easier dancing.
