The Dress

Gorgeous Allison Webb "Kingsland" gown worn for my wedding on 9/14/19. The dress is a size 8, but was altered to fit my size, which is a size 4 in typical dress sizes. My measurements are (B:34 W: 28; H: 37.5). The fabric is extremely high-quality ivory silk faille and looks great in photos. I'm also selling my floor-length veil along with the dress as a package. The dress was bought brand new, made to order for $3,300 and the veil was $120 from Etsy.

The tailor also made an "outside" bustle, which I think might be also be called and "American" or "English" bustle.

There is one small smudge at the top of the bust that could be spot cleaned easily, a few small marks in the back, and the train/bottom of the dress got a little dirty from dancing and walking around (see pictures).

This was my dream dress and I hope it'll someone else's too!

Alterations

I bought the dress in the label's size 8, and had it altered almost an entire size down (I probably should have ordered a 6, but I was in between sizes for the hip measurements and was afraid it would be too small). Across the board, I'm consistently a size 4 in dresses, and believe this dress would fit someone who typically wears a size 4 or 6.

In terms of the specific alterations, I had the dress's halter straps removed, the bust line shortened, and the bust, hips and butt taken in. The hem was also shortened, but the train length remained intact.
