The Dress

This dress is simple, yet stunningly beautiful, exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. The silk is soft and comfortable. The lace detail is intricate and nontraditional while still maintaining some traditional bridal elegance with a delicate lace lined train.

It was handmade and France and I purchased it through Dress Theory in San Diego. I made a few alterations, noted below. It is recently dry cleaned and although it has been worn, it has no noticeable blemishes.

About the designer: Elizabeth Soljak is the designer behind French atelier, A La Robe. She's taken a fresh approach to bridal design, her collection is effortlessly cool and chic, all created with a modern bride in mind.

Alterations

Shortened the length (keeping the original lace trim) to 5'8."
Added a bustle (on the inside of the gown so that no hooks/buttons can be seen).
Added hooks on the inside of the straps to connect to a bra. Tightened the bust a little bit to be more form fitting.
