Made to order in NYC, bought from Ghost Orchid Bridal in the UK (has original Alexandra Grecco bag, and a larger cover bag from Ghost Orchid).
I absolutely loved wearing this dress - it was comfortable, I could move freely, and it felt wonderful. In fact I had a bit too much fun in it, and so it has a few dessert-related stains around the train (I can text pictures of the stains if you're interested in the dress - unfortunately caramel doesn't come out!). The dress has been dry-cleaned.
If someone shorter was to have the dress taken up, the stains would be no issue. I'm just under 6ft, and so the bottom of the dress was barely altered, meaning there is plenty of material and the full train to play with for a shorter person to have it altered and get rid of the stains.
Alterations
I had the straps shortened slightly for a better fit, some darts added to the side of the bust to make it a closer fit around the ribs, and then a very very slight amount taken up at the bottom. The train is still in tact, but as mentioned above, has stains, so would most likely need to be taken up for the dress to be worn again.
