The Dress

So you're interested in a classic ball gown for your big day. Look no further, you need the Hayley Paige Londyn Dress.

I absolutely LOVED my wedding dress and received so many genuine comments on how amazing it looked on. Selling your wedding dress is not an easy process, but I'm doing this as this dress needs to be worn again and does not deserve to sit in my wardrobe any longer.

About the dress: The Hayley Paige Londyn gown was purchased from Eternal Bridal in Sydney and caught my eye straight away. Unlike all the other 'off the rack' dresses I tried on, this one was very different.
1) It's an 'off the rack' designer dress (not mass produced.) Once I made my purchase, my dress was made for me in New York.
2) It's made from quality REAL material. The bodice is an amazing silk radzmir crossover and the skirt is full tulle skirt with horsehair flounces and chapel train.
3) It's super comfortable and being a ball gown, you can eat and drink all day without worrying about bloating (yes - no one will know if you're bloated underneath all this tulle!)

Worn for my July wedding, this dress was carefully looked after on the day and dry cleaned straight after my wedding (literally 2 days later!)

What I loved about this dress: It was my wedding day, and this dress truly made me look and feel like a bride. Not overdone, not underdone, just timeless class and the right amount of showstopper!

Dress condition: The dress has been professionally dry cleaned ($500) and has been restored to 'as new glory'. There are minor marks on the hem of the skirt (underneath not on top) which remain but are not visible with the dress on.

There are a couple of tears on a couple of the tulle of the under-layer bits, but nothing that can't be repaired by a clever seamstress. NOTE: I did not have these repaired at the time of dry cleaning as I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the dress. Again, these are minor and do not cheapen the look of the dress. The last photo is of the dress as it is today post wear. It's currently stored in a wedding dress box, protected by specialty tissue paper (to prevent yellow discoloring).

My size: The dress was made to a size 4 US, which is a size 8 AU. I'm normally a size 6 on top and 8 bottom, but purchased the size 4 to allow for alterations so that the dress fit perfectly (note - off the rack NEVER fits as it should and if you do decide to purchase a new dress, factor in money for alterations!)
I'm 156cm tall and wore low heels (so I'd say the dress will work for anyone around my height or shorter.)

Also available is a hoopskirt (I wore this for most of the day as it made the tulle layers fall much better then without) and the matching veil.

Alterations

The bodice was altered to fit. Bustling also added and dress has been taken up.
