The Dress

Gorgeous Lela gown by Jenny by Jenny Yoo. It was purchased from the Chicago Jenny Yoo show room. The dress is such a flattering fit... and it has pockets! The ivory gown has an allover floral embroidery (the embroidery is woven into the fabric but has a 3 dimensional effect... it is what I was/am most in love with about the dress!) that adds an amazing dimension to the v-neck, a-line ball gown with a sweeping skirt. A sheer, plunging v-back completes the look with romantic flowers and dainty button details. It was so fun and comfortable to wear! Alterations

Alternations were minor- mostly related to sizing the dress from rack size down to an 8. sew cups in, shortened straps and length, brought the waist in. I'm also 5'3" barefoot and wore 2.5" heels. I wear between a size 6 and size 8 dress. The dress still has a 5" sweep in the back. I felt that the day of it was still a bit long. Because the dress is backless and a full skirt, the size is very forgiving and primarily restricted w/ the waistline which is 28"
