The Dress

This dress is from Reem Acra's current Celebration Collection and I wore it for my wedding in August, 2019. It was absolutely magical and so many guests told me it was the most beautiful wedding gown they'd ever seen. The train is between chapel and cathedral length, and trailed behind me beautifully. My tailor commented that it is the highest quality work she has ever seen, and that every detail on every layer of the dress was meticulously done. My favorite element of the dress is the intricate pleating around the bodice, as well as the arrangement of the floral detail in the silk brocade. The color is just ivory enough to not be blindingly white and to show off the truly unique texture of the fabric.

I don't have all the photos from my wedding back yet, but I have included the runway photos here as well as some of the "preview" photos from my photographer (sorry for the weird blurred out faces- privacy, you know), trying to show the details of the dress as much as possible. StillWhite only allows 8 photos per listing, but I am happy to send more pictures to interested buyers and to answer any questions you may have.

The dress is in nearly perfect condition - The wedding was in a garden but the ground was dry and the reception was in a tent with full hardwood flooring. There is some minor pilling around the bottom of the lining (absolutely invisible when wearing the dress) and a few small marks along the inside of the hem from my shoes brushing up against it (also invisible when wearing the dress). It has been professionally cleaned. There is absolutely no damage, pulled threads, fraying anywhere on the dress- I checked every inch of it when I got it back from the dry cleaner.

I purchased the dress from L'Elite Bridal in Boston, MA. After tax, I ended up paying $6,900, and then with the tailoring the total was $8,400. The dress is from Reem Acra's current collection, and you will not find it pre-owned anywhere else (believe me, I scoured the internet looking for it before resigning myself to spending that much on a dress, because I just loved it so much).

Alterations

It has been expertly tailored (I spent $1,500 on tailoring) to just graze the ground perfectly for someone who is 5'7" wearing 3" heels. My tailor also created a custom bustle - a modified American bustle that was very comfortable and looked gorgeous, with three small buttons that she made out of leftover fabric from the hem of the gown itself. The end size is somewhere between 0 - 2 - I have a pretty slight figure and it fit me beautifully.
