The Dress

Pronovias Emily is masterpiece in embroidered lace, this opulent V-neck mermaid gown features glittering French lace motifs along the bust that travel into a checkered, semi-illusion waistband and add texture to a fitted crepe skirt.

Most ladies purchase the Emily with the beige lining, however, I chose mine to have a white lining which added a really sophisticated feel to the gown that I loved. the sheerness on the back was gorgeous and the dress from the back was an absolute dream. The crepe fabric is very forgiving and hangs beautifully on the body. This dress was incredibly comfortable on the day.

Alterations

I customised the gown to make it daintier on the upper half to align closer to the look on the original Pronovias model (the actual dress has much thicker sleeves once ordered). I have removed the thick lace trim from the front and the back which made for much more flattering lines. I also shortened the dress to my height (I am 169cm without heels and wore a 8cm heel), and I added finger and wrist bustle under the skirt (I spent $500 on quality alterations).
