The Dress
This dress was bought 30 years ago in Lestan’s in Brooklyn,NY for a June 1989 wedding. I fell in love with it because of the ruffled sleeves and train. The size of the dress was ordered as a 10 as that was the European equivalent of a US 4-6 (at that time; that’s what was told to me). With heels on, I stood at 5’2”.
The dress was professionally dry cleaned and preserved and has been sealed in the bridal chest for 30 years. It was only opened this one time to take a picture of it. It is in impeccable condition: no damage or stains.
Alterations
Shortened to accommodate my height with shoes on at the time.
Bra pads were sewn into the bodice.
