The Dress

Just for size comparison, I am about 5'8" and approximately 150 lbs. and I usually wear size 8 pants, shirt size S-M, and bra size 34D. I got this gorgeous wedding dress in Ukraine (where my husband is from) and wore it only once for my wedding day this June, so it is still in excellent condition. I wish I had more opportunities to wear it, but I think it would go to better use if some other lucky woman got to wear this fairy tale princess gown for her wedding. I got sooooooo many compliments on it during the wedding!
The design is so romantic and unique. The top has an organic flow of little white floral embroidery that fades into the layers of sheer flowy fabric on the bottom (which is really fun to twirl in!). I went with a blush pink for my bridesmaids color because there are hints of nude and blush in this dress that show through the white. It still has enough white that it looks like a wedding dress, but it is by no means traditional, which makes it one of a kind!
One of my concerns when I was looking was to find a dress that wasn't too heavy or too difficult to dance in, but also had an elegance to it. This dress totally fits the bill! I wore a flexible lightweight hoop underneath the sheer layers (which I will include with the dress), and that kept the dress looking full of volume while keeping the fabric off my legs.
One last note about the design is that the back has both a zipper and buttons. The zipper in the skirt is intended to only go up as far as it can go (in my case it did not go all the way up) and then the buttons tighten the top and cover where the zipper stops, so it is somewhat size-flexible. The buttons do take a while to secure, but they look so pretty that it is totally worth the trouble. The button loops are also elastic, which makes it even more breathable.
