The Dress

I fell in love with this dress for the feel and movement of the fabric. It has three layers of crepe material that are form fitting without being restricting. I wore the dress without shapewear because it was so comfortable, and though my wedding was on a 90 degree day in July, I never felt overheated. The lace panels at the sides and back added the perfect amount of detail without detracting from the elegance and simplicity of the cut and quality of the fabric.

Alterations

The dress was shortened to my height with flats (approximately 5'11"). A french bustle has been added to the back of the dress. Easy to tie up with ribbons attached to dress layers. Two other alterations were made which are both easily reversed. Bra cups were added between the bottom two linings of the dress to add both support and shape. An additional layer of sheer fabric was attached to the interior of the neckline for modesty. It is in line with the original sheer panel on the neckline so it is invisible when wearing the dress, it just makes the neckline more opaque.
