The Dress

I bought this dress for my small intimate courthouse wedding June 2019. The dress has some give especially in the skirt. The alterations I made were: hemming to fit my height 63 inches (I wore 3.5inch heels), bustle to knee, underarm gusset (lace matches original lace, to allow for better movement of arms and to keep shoulders in place), lifting cups sewn in. There is also a double layer to the top bodice to make it less sheer. And the plunge to the bodice was raised 1 inch higher than the standard Annie dress, at additional cost. I wore the dress for only three hours for the wedding photos and the courthouse ceremony. There were no stains, but I still had the dress professionally cleaned. I felt so elegant in this gown, and I'm hoping it's a dream wedding dress for other brides out there... a la Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress!
