The Dress

This amazing cream silk satin chiffon dress is a one off, and was bespokely made by Freya Designer Dressmaking in Edinburgh. The beautiful silk skirt just flowed around the body as I moved; it was so light and soft – elegant, timeless and very comfortable to enjoy our special day! I had so many compliments and felt amazing in it. The dress is made from 2 layers of silk and one petticoat layer. The skirt has a flat front and is more full at the back which is what gives it such beautiful movement and structure. An embellished tulle belt was added, which could be removed if desired. The tulle hangs loose at the back to either tie into a bow or a loose knot. There is also a loop for a bra at the top of the zip and hooks on shoulder to secure bra straps.

Sadly I cannot dye this dress to use again due to the delicate nature of the fabrics, so rather than sit unused in the wardrobe, I would love someone else to benefit from such a stunning dress.

Extra information: there is a very small tear in the hem (as seen in photo) which is repairable, however as I am 6ft and wore 2.5cm heels with it, I would imagine that it will be likely the hem will need taking up regardless (unless you are also 6ft :)). The dress has been professionally dry cleaned via the dress maker.
