The Dress

Beautiful Angelina Colarusso Couture wedding dress.

Designed and made by Angelina Colarusso and one of a kind! This was my dream dress and was everything that I wasn't able to find on the high street. The dress is based on Angelina's signature Ava silhouette, with a dramatic Opera skirt that can be detached as shown in the pictures.

I am a curvy size 10(ish) and 5 foot 4. The dress is floor length and has an extended train. The opera skirt is attached at the waist by concealed loops. I wore this for the ceremony and removed it later on at the reception, giving the illusion of two dresses! It really is impossible to describe how wonderful this dress is and it certainly created the impact that I hoped for. It is very unique and received a lot of compliments on the day and afterwards.

Once the opera skirt has been removed, there is a hand loop on the inside of the train of the dress for use later in the evening or on the dance floor. There is also the option to bustle up the train via loops on the underside. The straps are off the shoulder but can be detached at the back and tucked in to transition to a strapless evening dress. The dress has buttons up the back but also has an inner corset to create the perfect silhoutte!

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned by a wedding dress specialist immediately after the wedding day to a very high standard. There is some evidence of wear at the base of the train with some small tears on the inner lining at the end of the train. However these aren’t visible when the dress is on and the train could easily be shortened by a couple of inches to look as good as new!
