The Dress
The first thing you need to know about this dress is that it has an oh so wow-factor back. Or rather, it has no back. It cuts straight across at your waist and is open all the way to your neck, where the halter straps (which curve up from under your arms) clasp with two silk buttons. It’s equal parts elegant and sexy - and will make you feel like a queen.
The second thing you need to know is that the cut outs or waist indents (I’m not really sure what to call them) are probably the most flattering part of the design and are not quite as risqué as you think. They’re actually quite subtle and play tricks on the eye to make your waist look tiny - total win.
The third thing you need to know is that the high neck and otherwise relaxed style of this dress makes it a breeze to wear. You don’t need to worry about it slipping off, revealing too much cleavage, coming undone or someone stepping on it. The train is short but elegant and the silk crepe fabric is so soft and comfy. That means you can get on with enjoying your wedding rather than fiddling with your dress the whole night.
Honestly, it’s a dream dress. And it’s versatile. It was also the first dress I tried on, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. Photos really don’t do it’s beautiful elegance justice.
So, if you’re interested, here are the other details you’ll be wanting to know:
It’s dry cleaned and looks absolutely brand new, minus one small water line on the very edge of the hem - about 1-2mm. I can send you photos if you like. It’s not noticeable when the dress is on but if you’re worried, a seamstress will be able to re-hem it while only taking a few mm off the length. Easy.
It’s a size 4 (this is based on the designer, Sarah’s Seven’s sizing) but I’m normally a size 8-10 in Aussie clothing. I’m also a C-cup and there are bra liners sewn into the dress for that size. These are handy as hell but can be unstitched if you’re not a fan, as they’re only secured with two small stitches into the lining of the dress.
I am 172cm tall and the dress fell perfectly to the floor when I had my 6cm heels on.
If this sounds like the dress for you, please get in touch. I’d love to see it go to a happy bride-to-be who can enjoy it all over again.
Happy hunting!
Jess

Alterations
As mentioned above, there are C-cup bra liners stitched into the lining of the dress. These can be easily removed.
In its original form, the dress could accommodate a size E bust. As I’m only a C cup, I had the darts altered at the bust, to create a more fitted and flattering shape. This can be undone, or altered further if you have a smaller cup size.
