The Dress

This Vera Wang Eleanor gown was purchased for my Scottsdale wedding and worn only once. The style is still available for purchase for $7,500 as part of her Iconic Couture Collection. It is absolutely stunning in person and came across incredibly in photos. It has a high-fashion yet classic feel and I felt comfortable and beautiful wearing it.

It is strapless with a fitted bodice that continues to below the hip. Embroidered buttons line the back of the bodice. The long, full tulle bottom has a feathered appearance in a subtle floral design.

This gorgeous gown is well known as the Sex and the City dress that Carrie wore in the movie for the Vogue photoshoot - the one that draped over the entire couch in stunning fashion. I fell in love with the dress then and knew that I had to have it for my wedding! It is the most beautiful dress I have ever worn and I know that whomever is lucky enough to wear it next will feel like an absolute Princess on their wedding day!

Includes beautiful Vera Wang black horsehair sash with oversized bow that I wore for the reception which completely changed the look of the dress from day to night.

Dress has been in storage since my wedding day so it will require dry cleaning. If you have any questions or would like to see additional photos please let me know!

Alterations

It was purchased in a size 10 but was altered by a highly regarded seamstress in order to fit me like a glove on my wedding day as I continued to lose weight leading up to the big day. On the day of my wedding I was 5'3" and weighed ~ 112lbs and it fit me perfectly! I would say that it would fit a typical size 2.

Bodice was brought in from bust to hip to fit ~ 32" bust without a bra (lightly lined cups and boning inside) 27" waist and 35" hip. Hemline was altered to fit my 5'3" height with 4" heels. So would fit up to 5'7" or shorter depending on heel height. Bustle added at back so that I could pull up and secure the train for dancing. Not at all visible when not utilized.
