The Dress

I am looking to sell my beautiful, handmade wedding dress that was sewn by talented local Cape Town designer Jone Geldenhuys of her new brand Lucienne and the Aisle in late 2018.

This dress is made using special Balinese-imported lace, making it 100% unique, with a light lining made of soft cotton for breathability - ideal for a summer wedding. It is very unique in style, designed to be French/Boho chic and comfortable to wear during a hot summer day. With stylish off-the-shoulder sleeves and a 1m train, the dress is both elegant and relaxed, and a true one-of-a-kind. It shows off the décolletag and back perfectly. I looked for a dress like this for a long time in local wedding boutiques, and eventually decided to have it made as nothing like this quite existed!

Jone made this dress beautifully for me from start to finish, and it included 4 fittings to ensure it was just right. The workmanship is excellent. It was worn only once in December on my wedding day, and is looking for a new home to perhaps take a second voyage down the aisle.

The dress was made with a hidden corset lace up, which means it has some give and may fit a size 6 - 10 depending on how tight you lace it up.

It is ideal for a size 32 / 34.
