The Dress

I bought the WToo Nadine dress at Miss Bride in Hong Kong. I saw it and immediately knew it was perfect. Perfect for my overseas pre-wedding photoshoot in Chicago (pre-wedding shoot: similar to engagement shoots, but with wedding dress). The style is simple, romantic and universally flattering. It has gorgeous three-dimensional floral detailing at the bodice and the bottom of the skirt, and just the right amount of train. Everything a classic fairy tale wedding dress should be. I was so convinced, that I actually bought it without trying it on!

Luckily the dress is so easy-to-wear and flattering that the fit was almost perfect; I only needed minor adjustments. I wore it over a two-day pre-wedding photoshoot in Chicago for less than 3 hours in total. The photos turned out even better than I had envisioned. The dress went perfectly well with both an indoor dreamy studio setting as well as a green outdoor college campus backdrop.

Despite the outdoor photoshoot, the weather was very dry and there are no visible stains on the skirt. The dress has also since been dry cleaned and carefully stored in a garment bag. The dress was however bought during the Miss Bride sample sale (hence the very attractive pricing). It is still in perfectly fine condition, around 70% new. It would be a shame to just leave it there to gather dust. So here I am looking to pass on the joy to the next kindred soul.

Alterations

I'm usually an US size 2, 115lb. The dress was adjusted slightly for the waist (26”) and the length (believe some extra material was tucked in, in case it needed lengthening again). The adjusted length of the dress actually turned out slightly short for me even with 85mm heels on (I am 163cm), so there is flexibility for brides who are a few inches shorter or slightly taller (with shorter heels or flats). I am a 32A and I added a lot of extra padding, so also suitable for brides with slightly more assets ?. Honestly, the style of the dress is so incredibly easy-to-wear that there really is a lot of flexibility with minor adjustments as needed.
