The Dress

This dress was designed and hand-made for me by Dress Maker and Designer, Lizette Duncan. I am selling it with the veil and also with the tiara/headband that I wore which has crystal floral detail on it. The dress has delicate, hand-stitched lace detail in the bodice/corset, with breast cups sewn in place, lace into a sweetheart neckline and lace hand-stitched down to the hips and into the buttock area. The back is low, and thin spaghetti straps made of diamante in two thin rows have been sewn over a flesh coloured strap to hold the dress onto the shoulders. The fabric is soft and light ivory crepe, so light that I could wear the dress all day and be comfortable without feeling it was heavy on me. The hem and train feature exquisite, intricate and carefully hand-stitched lace over tule for a dramatic mottled effect throughout - both on the border and on the beautiful train of the dress. The train pins up with a button at the back of the dress so it's lovely to extend during the service and raise thereafter for dancing. I wore it for my wedding in April 2018, had it dry cleaned immediately after and it's in perfect condition. I felt so feminine and gorgeous in this dress.
