Perfect for the indie, hipster, or country bride! The front bodice has nine vertical supports from the chest to just above the hips. It has sewn-in B-size cups (not a full bra) that can be easily altered if necessary. The inside of the dress is silky smooth and feels lovely. I did not have any chaffing, itching, or redness from wearing the dress for 9 hours. I did not need any dress tape either to hold it up in certain places like the shoulders. The sleeve-material is non-elastic due to the added lace detail. However, I had no trouble dancing the night away with my hands above my head!

Alterations

Original photo of dress shown (last photo). Material was taken from the upper back and reworked to flow into the addition of the long sleeves. The bottom of the sleeves also have added buttons to match the back. The neckline was trimmed to look more like a gentle v-neck.

No material was altered from the bottom of the dress or around the bodice.

Addition of five (not just one!) short, ivory ribbons with small, matching pearl beads to create a low American-style bustle (second to last photo). The ribbons can be pulled and hidden from the inside of the dress to keep them out of sight until party time! The small pearl bead is all that is shown and blends in seamlessly when the ribbons aren't being used.
