The Dress

I fell in love with the Penelope AND Pergola dresses from the 2018 De La Vida Rosa Clara Couture collection. I decided I couldn't possibly choose and had to have both.

The structure of my bespoke wedding dress was inspired by the Penelope 2018 dress - https://delavida.co.za/product/penelope, with a beautiful tulle skirt which fits over the slim-fit dress to result in the Pergola 2018 - https://delavida.co.za/product/pergola look - I even opted for the little bow of the tulle skirt. I wore the 'Pergola version' of the dress for the ceremony as it was a softer, classic, more elegant look and I later revealed the sexier, fitted 'Penelope version' of the dress to my hubby who was very pleasantly surprised and danced the night away in my slimming, flattering, sheath number!

The long-sleeved bodice is made of chantilly lace and finished off with exquisite hand-beaded crystals. The main skirt of the dress has a beautiful long train that is pinnable using a crystal button-tuck.

The tulle skirt is not included in the sale as I plan to keep this for my own daughter one day, however, I would recommend ordering the tulle skirt new from Sew Couture otherwise this is negotiable.
