The Dress

Now that my wedding is over I would love to sell my custom Kate Gubanyi gown to make another bride feel as happy as I didn’t my big day!

I met with Kate at GC Bridal Lounge to custom design this Berta inspired gown. It is a two piece Ivory coloured French lace with a nude coloured stretch cotton lining. The first piece is a bodysuit and the second is the skirt. This was done to keep the low back in place and to give the nipped in waistline (which I didn’t have on the day due to bub!). The skirt has four buttons attached to keep in all firmly in place, I danced the entire night comfortably!

The dress was inspired by the last two photos (a Berta gown) and at my original fittings it was fitted around the waist and gave a very flattering silhouette. However by the time of my wedding I was 5 months pregnant and had lost my waistline! The dress had to be let out but it is testament to the flattering style of the dress that my expanded waistline was not too noticeable! This being said the dress was much more stunning with the nipped-in waist before I was pregnant, and would probably need to be taken in to give a proper fit on the waist and to give that stunning silhouette from all sides (I wish I got photos at my first fitting, it was so flattering on the waist and backside!) I’ve been told it will be easy to take in. Because of this I’ve listed the dress at far below half of what I paid for it.

I had so many kind complements on the day about the gorgeous lace, stunning train and overall design of the dress. People have even been emailing me after seeing photos of the day.

The pieces have been cleaned by a specialist wedding gown dry cleaner and will come in a protective bag.

I am 164cm tall and wore 8cm heels on the day.
