The Dress

The dress has ivory tulle on top with ivory lace details and ivory horsehair trim. Underneath is a moscato colored tulle that gives the dress a layered, varying shades of blush look. As you can see in the photos sometimes it comes off more pink colored, other lighting makes it look more ivory colored. The beaded belt is a long ribbon that can be removed. It was a lot of fun to wear! Very comfortable, not too heavy compared to other dresses I tried and not a large as other ballgown shaped skirts. I didn't have to bustle it in order to dance. I hope someone else can enjoy it!

Alterations

It was altered down a size and shortened in the front to fit a 5'2" person with 3" heels. In the photos, the bust on the mannequin is 38" and the zipper doesn't close, probably fits closer to a 34" bust (keep in mind the mannequin does not compress like our bodies do). The waist on the bust measures at 28" and the dress fits well around the waist. I believe there is room to let the bodice out if necessary. The back of the skirt was not shortened when the front was to create a bit of a train. After having it cleaned I noticed some damage on the underside layers of horsehair trim. I went ahead and brought it back to the seamstress to get those fixed before listing it. I also purchased a preservation box. It will be shipped that way so you will already have a really nice box if you wish to hold onto it after your wedding!
