The Dress

This dress was a timeless beautiful gown that made feel like Grace Kelly on my wedding day and I am selling with lots of sadness as my wedding only took place 5 months ago.

The dress is beautifully fitted on the waist and then a full tull and lace skirt with flower embroidery comes out. The train of the dress is very managable as it is not a cathedral train but more a chapel train, just enough to make it look majestic without it being too much. Definitely the strong point of the dress is the tiny waist that makes you look like a doll.

The sweetheart neck is lightly accentuated, not too round or straight which makes it very elegant. The back of the dress is very beautiful as it comes down in a V neck way that is very flattering. The skirt of the dress is beautifully finished with chantilly lace.

The bodice is also embroidered very elegantly. The great thing about this dress is that it can look like you are wearing a simple but gorgeous cocktail party dress from the 1950s and it can also look stunning with a veil, like you are in a royal wedding.

It was love at first sight when I saw it in the catalogue of Pronovias and I had a really hard time getting it, because this romantic princess style is not so fashionable anymore in Europe so they don't actually have them in the stores, but I begged Pronovias to bring it for me, and after some tears they did and it was just the best choice ever.

Alterations

I did have an alteration done. If you look at the Pronovias dress, the dress' waist has a V shape, which I did not like. So I asked Pronovias to make the waist straight and they did, and the dress looked so much better, much more modern and gorgeous. Take time to look at other Oribe photos and you will know what I mean although the Pronovias photos do not show the V waist.
