The Dress

I got this dress semi-custom made by Jessica Couture for my wedding in December 2018.

I say semi-custom made because the dress is based off her HALSEY dress (https://www.jessicabridal.co.nz/shop/wedding-dresses/wedding-dress-jessica-coutures-halsey/).

However, I had the dress made in the beautiful IMENA dress fabric (https://www.jessicabridal.co.nz/shop/wedding-dresses/jessica-coutures-imena/).

I could not get over how beautiful and unique the IMENA lace fabric is. I had always loved the lace on Berta dresses but could not justify the cost. This lace is similar but has it's own elegance and uniqueness about it. If you look closely at the photos you can see pops of silver / grey and pearl beads throughout the lace - it's absolutely stunning! The photos really don't do it enough justice.

The V-neckline is also lined with beautiful fine Swarovski Crystal Detail. I had so many compliments about the dress on the day because of how unique it is. There is also a bustle on the dress so you can easily take up the train when you want to get onto the dance floor!

The material is slightly elastic so its very comfortable and also quite forgiving. I actually had put on a bit of weight leading up to the wedding but had no issues fitting into the dress despite having it made 6 months before.

I have purposely not dry cleaned the dress yet as I anticipate ladies will want to try on the dress before they buy. However, if you decide you want the dress I will have it professionally dry cleaned and ready for you to pick up (or shipped).

Alterations

I had some minor amendments made to the original HALSEY dress design:

1. Changed the original scoop back to V back

2. Added an extra 500m to the chapel train

3. Took up the hem to fit my height (I'm 158cm and wore 10cm (4-inch) heels on the day)
