The Dress

This Peter Trends stunning fit and flare wedding gown is made up of a beautiful mocha satin material overlaid with timeless traditional lace intertwined with gorgeous pearls. This gown has a slight train with a scalloped lace hemline.

The lace and subtle pearl beards are reminiscent of the stunning gowns from the early twentieth century. The dress reminded me of the titanic. The silhouette emphasises an hourglass figure.

This was a dress that I originally tried on as a "just to see something totally different" dress, and as soon as I put it on I fell in love. It is so incredibly flattering and not at all gaudy or over-the-top. After trying on a few more flashy bridal dresses this one felt so sophisticated and classic (and it made my waist look so tiny!).

Because the dress was so different to what I had always imagined I had a bit of a freak out a few months before the wedding and went looking at other dresses, but honestly I couldn't find another dress that measured up. The details on this dress are gorgeous and it is obviously so well made. Often the other dresses I looked at in other shops looked a bit tacky and cheap-looking by comparison.

I had a lace cap sleeve created using the same eyelash lace from the hem of the skirt. These sleeves could easily be removed for a strapless gown. If you do wear the sleeves you just need to use a bit of double sided tape on your shoulder to hold them down. The sleeves aren't tight at all so there is full range of movement for your arms (I wanted to dance!).

I felt amazing in this stunning dress and would be so happy for this dress to be a part of another lucky bride's special day.

Alterations

The bodice and bust area has been brought in slightly.
The hem has not been touched. I am 175cm tall and the hem was just off the ground when wearing low heels.
A bustle has been added so that the hem hangs perfectly straight above the ground when the train is pinned up (no fear of tripping during your first dance).
Custom lace straps have been created from the same lace as the eyelash lace hem. These can be easily removed. They are purely decorative.
