The Dress

This is the Zimmermann Mercer Bird Floating Dress in Ivory. It's a beautiful, asymmetric silk maxi dress with silk floral appliqués, perfect as a bohemian or beach wedding dress, or as a reception dress. I wore it as a reception dress and it was so comfortable, not to mention I got tons of compliments on it. I found it to be very flattering and comfortable since it flares out at the waist, meaning that I could enjoy the food at my wedding without the dress feeling tight or showing my full belly. Also, it's super easy to dance in!

It is a size 2 in the brand's sizing, which is approximate to a US size 8, UK size 12, or French size 40. I usually am more like a US size 6 with dresses, so I'd say the dress could fit a larger size 6 as well. The designer measurements for size 2 are: 94 cm/37 inch bust, 75 cm/29.5 inch waist, 101 cm/39.5 inch hips. When I measured it at home, though, the waist is more like 74 cm/29 inches. The length is approximately 98 cm/38.5 inches from the shoulder to the shortest point of the dress and 148 cm/58.25 inches from the shoulder to the longest point of the dress. 

The dress has been worn twice and dry cleaned after each use. It is in great condition.
