The Dress

Simple, romantic, flowy silk chiffon dress with off-shoulder sleeves and pleated bodice. Hand-sewn by Brooklyn-based designer Tatyana Merenyuk, made-to-order for July 2018 wedding. Built-in bra (size B) holds up dress securely. sleeves can be tucked into bodice for a different look during reception/dancing. Comfortable, and very flattering. For an idea of how incredible this dress would look on a windy day (sadly, my wedding day wasn't one), be sure to check out the designer's instagram (may be found by googling her name). Note, however, that unlike some versions of this on there, this dress doesn't have a slit.

Alterations

Bodice taken in along zipper, hemmed for 5' 4" person wearing 3" heels, and bustle added (see pic for what dress looks like from back when bustled).

Note that, although it was dry cleaned, there are still some spots along hem that didn't come out (see pics for examples) since worn for an outdoor wedding. Could likely be eliminated by shortening the train a bit (see second pic for length of train currently), since they are all on the part of the fabric that trails behind and within a few inches of hem (though would want to make sure bustle still looks good). Also some mild discoloration along underarm area. Some very minor fraying of fabric at one spot along hem and one tear along seam (see pic) that could be mended or else probably eliminated with shortened train.
