The Dress

This is a stunning, breathlessly romantic one of a kind hand made wedding gown, modeled after Amy Michelson's Grace and Love Me Tender, by the one and only Julie Ireland of San Francisco. This dress exhibits countless unique features combined to make one epicly romantic dress.

The sweetheart neckline is cut in an extremely flattering shape of delicate alencon lace and buttons down the back, while the skirt features two layers of extremely soft ivory silk followed by a layer of blush silk, and two latyrs of organza with ruffled scalloped edging. The top also has a blush undertone, which gives the dress an exquisitely romantic vintage look.
The train is breathtaking and also one of a kind, making the dress eye popping and graceful, and creates gorgeous photos as it billows in the wind.

The way the layers sit creates stunning movement in the skirt when walking or dancing. For the reception the dress has a 5 point overbustle (which can be easily changed of course), and a unique option to pull up one side of the front to reveal the underlayers of blush silk and organza and add some sexy glamour.

I fell in love with the Amy Michelson gowns when I saw them online, but was crushed when I discovered the line was discontinued. Additionally, I wanted the Alencon lace top with a sweetheart neckline like the Love Me Tender, but with the epic train featured in Grace. After I had tried a vintage dress with the blush undertone I knew I would not be happy with a plain white or ivory gown: the undertone makes the lace pop in such a special way. So I had Julie combine all these qualities plus the special pick-up in the front for the reception to create this dream gown that made my husband and all the guests swoon. It turned out ten times better in quality and look than the Amy Michelson gowns (which I did try on from used sellers).

I received endless compliments on how graceful, sexy, and classy the dress was at the same time, and many people said they had never seen a dress like this before. Stunning was the word.
The dress is currently 32 bust 23 waist 35 hips, but it was made 3 to 4 inches larger and taken in so that it could easily be worn in the future by someone who is a different size.
I am 5'5 and had 4 inch heels. The length is 45 inches from waist to floor, and can be made longer by removing some of the petticoat layering.

I am absolutely in love with this dress and it will be hard to let it go, but hope a lucky bride can benefit from all the love and work that was put into it.
