The Dress
This exquisite wedding dress was designed as a one-off by Elizabeth Fillmore for summer 2011 at Browns Bride of London. It is a totally unique combination of Elizabeth's Garbo and Starlet designs and bears a distinct resemblance to Daphne of Elizabeth's latest collection.
The strong, stylish lines are luxurious in the champagne crepe black satin and are wonderfully offest by the two handmade beaded medallions (one, top right, the other on the left hand side at the back of the waist line).
Whilst the front and silhouette are wonderfully flattering, the back is to die for.
In designing this dress, Elizabeth has taken her successful sheath/sweetheart design from Starlet and combined it with the glamour of the criss-cross and medallion beading from Garbo.
Worn only once, the dress is dry-cleaned (which cost me another £500!) and is ready for posting worldwide. Bought new last year for £4,000 (I still have the receipt), at only £1,700 this is a bargain!
