The Dress

This classically elegant Rachel gown is part of the Karen Willis Holmes Bespoke Wedding Dress Collection.

This dress is a V-neck corded lace slim gown with delicate lace cap sleeves and an intricately detailed lace back. It is Ivory in colour. It is very easy to get in and out of with self-covered buttons and a hidden zip. It is 100% satin lined. The train can be tied up in a bustle at the back with ribbon. This dress was made with split sizing; the top is a size 9 and the bottom is a size 10. This dress would be suitable for anyone sized 8-12 as it can be easily altered.

I purchased this dress in January 2013 from the Karen Willis Holmes Boutique in Paddington and it has been worn once. It is in great condition, dry cleaned by Silver Service and boxed. It comes with all original labels/tags, spare buttons and its own custom Karen Willis Holmes dress bag. I can provide copies of the original dress and dry cleaning receipts.

This dress retails for $3,589. I paid a total of $4,239 at the Karen Willis Holmes Boutique in Paddington which included lengthening the hem (I am 167cm tall and wore 5cm heels), adding padded bra cups, having the belt sewn onto the dress and lengthening the lace cap sleeves ever so slightly.

I wore this dress with the Karen Willis Holmes Diamante Embellished Belt in ivory (included with the dress) which was purchased from their store for $249. More pictures are available on the Karen Willis Holmes website. It has been sewn onto the dress, however, I have been assured by the head dressmaker at the Karen Willis Holmes studio in Sydney that it can be easily removed from the dress if preferred. I also teamed this dress with a matching ivory birdcage veil (not for sale but available on the Karen Willis Holmes online boutique) though it would look equally as beautiful with a traditional veil.

This dress was so comfortable and easy to wear. It was light enough to be able to move easily and freely in and was perfect for the dance floor.
